About This Item
[No place: Self-published, 1875. First Edition. A very rare book written by a ten-year-old girl. It was published without any editing and distributed to friends and family only. With a signed presentation on a front blank page: "Uncle William Doris from Maggie. May 13th, 1876." "Maggie" may be the author and she did have a Great Uncle with this name. The family was from the greater Philadelphia area. Quite impressive for a ten-year-old girl. 16mo., embossed brown cloth, stamped in gilt; 43 pages. Illustrated.. Very Good (minor wear & rubbing covers with gilt pretty bright; front hinge cracked but still tight; contents clean & tight).
