Little, Brown, 1952. Book Club Edition (BOMC). Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed by Author. Inscribed, signed, & dated by Agnes de Mille on the front endpaper in April 1986. Laid in is an invitation to "An Evening With Agnes de Mille" at the Newberry Library to benefit the Midwest Dance Collection. Also laid in is a an ALS from Ruth Page, on her stationery, dated 1978, thanking the recipient for a group of photos. Age-toning to the paper, spine a bit cocked, with light wear to the edges, corners, and spine. Dustjacket has some small chips & tears, and wear to the edges, otherwise clean & bright. America's greatest choreographer, and one of the great modern dancers. Co-creator, with Aaron Copeland, of Rodeo, and choreographer of the dance sequences of Broadway classics such as Oklahoma!; Brigadoon; Carousel. de Mille wrote several memoirs, but this is one of the best.
