Original price £1.50 net at bottom of dust jacket corner. 237 pp. 8vo. No other price listed. Unclipped corners. Panels are in excellent conditions. Light spine end bends due to shelf resting. Spine lean. None of these minor flaws are easily observed: one edge indent, minute wear on one corner, and one white back cover bottom dot. Tight pages, appears unread. Clean. Dust jacket has a few tiny spine head lines/wrinkles. Jacket inside has bottom wavy discoloration line and small area of tanning. A couple of fore edge flap fold color coating chips. Synopsis: Set in the sixth century of the Byzantine Empire, the daughter of a great lord is captured by Huns. The lord's slave Sylvester, the slave's bear Bubba,, and a dirty old saint head off is pursuit of the girl. One adventure after another leads them to the tent of Hun Kahn. A captivating adventurous tale with a laughable yet dangerous bear and the bear's determined human companions' encounters to rescue the girl despite clashing customs and cultures.
