Fine in full medium brown leather covered boards with three raised bands on the spine with gilt text and gilt and red tool work on the spine and gilt and red decorations on the boards. A small quarto measuring 9 1/4" by 6" with all edges of the text block gilt, the end sheets are silk and there is a matching silk placement ribbon sewn-in at the head of the spine. There is a blank, Easton Press, book plate fixed to the fly title page ready to take the name of its new owner. 228 pages of text including an index with an introduction by James Michener. Hemingway's last great tribute to the bull ring and the matador's who fight in it. Initially, the title was serialized by Life Magazine in 1960. It was not published in book form until 1985. A handsome, tight, and clean copy perfect for a gift.
