Illustrated with black and white photographs and drawings throughout. Printed gray laid endpapers. Contents include: Mammals Birds Reptiles Amphibians Fishes Invertebrates Roger A. Caras (1928 - 2001) was a naturalist and preservationist, writer and author. This volume is one of his first of more than 70 books. Jacket is tattered at top edge, has a waterstain on the inside and back edge and a half inch tear on front.
