Paris: La Mode Nationale, 1900. No Binding. Very Good. A single lithographic plate from this French annual album of strange and exotic costumes. This plate features a young woman wearing a costume festooned with hands and feet - perhaps a reference to the brutality of rubber plantations in the Belgian Congo under King Leopold? The image is generally in very good condition with some minor rust marks around staple holes and a 1cm closed tear to fore-edge which also has a small tear to its lower corner. Rear cover of the album also included and this indicates that this is the 8th annual collection. c.1900
