A brilliantly illustrated overview of Danish naval vessels of the Dual Monarchy of Denmark-Norway (until 1814) and Denmark from 1690-1860, rendered in large scale plans and lines, as well as in battle and port views, all from archival sources. Detailed color photographs of museum-quality models are also included. The work focusses both on construction techniques and decorative elements. Vol. I consists of plates and historical text. Vol. II contains plans and lines of 91 vessels in folding and double page plates. Text in both volumes is in Danish, but an English Summary is included at the end of the first volume. Both vols. are in Fine condition, housed in a slipcase. The set. Color and b/w plates, many folding. Folio. 2 vols. 205 (1); 91 plates.
