Hbk, 4to, 183pp, text in English, 80 full-page b+w illustrns, pages lightly and evenly toned but otherwise clean with no foxing, no dj as issued, black cloth boards beginning to fray top and tail of spine, gilt titles and ornaments almost completely rubbed away, patches of discoloration to the rear board, now in custom acetate jacket, prev ownerÕs name neatly on top margin of title page, hinges sound and otherwise internally a very good clean tight and unmarked text

Two volumes bound in half white vellum boards and green paper boards with black illustration, gilt lettering on title blocks on spines, illustrated end papers. Volume 1 has a bw frontispiece, 82 pp text, 6 additional bw plates. Volume 2 has a bw frontispiece, text pages 83-165, 10 additional bw plates. Plates for each volume have protective guard sheets. "Limited to one thousand numbered and registered copies." Illustrated with designs by M. Gustave Dore. Includes critical and explanatory notes.

Volume 1 has 2 bw illustrated frontispieces with tissue guard sheets, XXIV, 82 pp, XXXIX plates with guard sheets. Volume 2 has a bw frontispiece with tissue guard sheet, paged 83-183, plates numbered XL--LXXV with guard sheets. "Limited to one thousand numbered and registered copies." This copy is unnumbered. No copyright date noted, but appears to be late 19th/early 20th century. Spine is square and tight. Clean, unmarked interior. Light shelf-wear. Quarto format, with gilt and black stamping to front board. Chock-full of incredible etchings by Dore. 162 pp.

London: The Folio Society, 2009. Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Salvador Dali. Beautifully bound with blue leather and gilt title over the spine, pale blue watered silk covered boards. Internally and externally unblemished, unused, as new. Colour illustrations by Salvador Dali. Housed in a sturdy slipcase with illustration pasted onto one side a narrow scrape to theillustration at the bottom edge otherwise fine.
