DJ lightly soiled w/ wear and short closed tears to edges. Light chipping to corners and spine ends. Old tape ghosts to top edge of front panel. Spine a bit sunned. Contents nice.. Hard Cover. Post-production continuity script for the 1940 film adaptation starring Claire Trevor, John Wayne, Roy Rogers and Walter Pidgeon. It was the only film in which the Western icons Wayne and Rogers appeared together. Based on Burnett's 1938 novel. Printed recto only in typescript. A very good copy. Bradbound. Top edges curled and snagged but not affecting text.

Basis for the Academy Award-nominated 1940 film directed by Raoul Walsh starring John Wayne, Roy Rogers, and Claire Trevor; the only film in which Wayne and Rogers appear together, and the second of only two films on which Wayne and Walsh worked together after Walsh discovered Wayne as a 23 year-old prop man. A woman marries a seemingly peaceful Kansas schoolteacher only to find that he attacks both sides during the Civil War for his own profit. Very Good in trade size wrappers (softcover).
