About This Item

The Complete Dark Tower Series in a Set of Seven Volumes in First Editions except for The Gunslinger which is a second edition, three are artist editions plus "The Wind in the Keyhole" for a total of eight books all published by Donald M. Grant. (These are NOT the later Viking editions.)

Includes slipcases for all volumes. Slipcase 1 (for DT 1-3) and Slipcase 3 (DT 6-7) are Grant issues, and Slipcase 2 (DT 4-5) is after-market by the Casemaker, slightly higher than the other two but in a nearly identical style. (Grant issue slipcases for the DT books are no longer available from the publisher)

The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger by Stephen King illustrated by Michael Whelan with 5 color plate illustrations, one of which is two-page, $20.00 cover price Hardcover Second Edition West Kingston, RI: Donald M. Grant, 1984 Reportedly issued in only 10,000 copies.

(The true first edition was issued in 1982 also in 10,000 trade copies and 500 signed-limited copies, the former now runs about $2500 to $4000, and I have seen the latter priced at $10,000+. Later reprinted in 1998 in a third edition, and later republished in a revised edition by Viking US in 2003). For about the price of a first edition of DT: Gunslinger, you get the whole set!

Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket. A superb copy. The book is nearly perfect, the dust jacket is just about as nice a jacket as you're likely to find. NO chips, NO tears and NO rubbing, with only a hint of edge-wear to the top edge. In particular NO rubbing to the top and bottom spine, often found in most copies.

The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three Gunslinger by Stephen King illustrated by Phil Hale with 10 color plate illustrations. $35.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition West Kingston, RI: Donald M. Grant, 1987 Reportedly issued in only 30,000 copies. (800 copies were released as a signed-limited issue.) Fine in Near Fine+ Dust Jacket. The book itself and jacket are near-perfect. The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands (sometimes misspelled as The Wastelands) by Stephen King illustrated by Ned Dameron with 12 color plate illustrations. $38.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, 1991. Contains the Grant catalogue sheet. Reportedly issued in only 40,000 copies. (1200 copies were released as a signed-limited issue.) Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket. The book itself is near-perfect, appears brand new and unread. The jacket is completely intact, NO tears and NO chips. There is the typical edge-wear and some little pin-pricks here and there which plague this jacket, but better than most copies I've seen. Else still a just about fine copy. The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass by Stephen King illustrated by Dave McKean with 18 illustrations $45.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition Trade Issue Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, 1997 Reportedly issued in only 45,000 copies. (The signed-limited was issued in 1250 copies and now fetches $2500+. Later republished by Viking US in 2003). Fine in Fine Dust Jacket. A superb unread copy in a near-perfect jacket with only a hint of a crinkle to the upper right-hand corner. The Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King illustrated by Bernie Wrightson with 11 color plate illustrations $50.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition - Artist Issue Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, 2003 Signed by artist Bernie Wrightson in 3500 copies. (The signed-limited was issued in 1350 copies and now fetches $1500+. Fine in Fine Dust Jacket with a faint rub line to the back board, else a superb unread pristine copy. The Dark Tower VI: Song of Susannah by Stephen King illustrated by Darrel Anderson with 10 color plate illustrations $50.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition - Artist Issue Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, 2004 Signed by artist Darrel Anderson in 3500 copies. (The signed-limited was issued in 1350 copies and now fetches $1500+.) Fine in Fine Dust Jacket. A superb unread copy. The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower by Stephen King illustrated by Michael Whelan with 12 color plate illustrations $55.00 cover price Hardcover First Edition - Artist Issue Hampton Falls, NH: Donald M. Grant, 2004 Signed by artist Michael Whelan in 5000 copies. (The signed-limited was issued in 1500 copies and now fetches $1500+.) Fine in Fine Dust Jacket. A superb unread copy. Limited to 5000 copies signed by the illustrator Jae Lee. As NEW in shrink-wrap. NOTE: Dust Jacket covers included over the jackets.

The book was a good read not what I expected from King,(he is usually pretty unusual) but it was really good. I have purchased the whole set and are reading the others.
