Bates was a noted English author who is best known for this series of five books, 'The Darling Buds of May' followed by 'A Breath of French Air', 'When the Green Woods Laugh', 'Oh! To Be In England', and 'A Little of What You Fancy'. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Spots to the fore edge. Dust wrapper is smart with light edge wear. Spine is very lightly sunned. A little light rubbing to the rear joint and head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
