New York: Produced and Released by Mainstream Magazine, [ca, 1947-8].. Original 12" 78 rpm double-sided phonograph record. Printed labels a trifle foxed, small blemish at extreme edge far from grooves, otherwise visually very good. A quite rare recording of Trumbo's recitation of his long poem, first published in the Winter 1947 (I:1) issue of MAINSTREAM. While OCLC includes a barebones entry for this recording (without citing locations), it refers to "Part 2" only, which is the flip side of the present record, and is somewhat contradictory, asserting there is "no linguistic content" and "unreadable" and that it is a "musical recording."
