Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional, and particularly internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of its 30+ year-old age and nature, i.e. an ephemeral p/back edn. It is only the minor exterior fault described that prevents a slightly higher overall grading.Despite that,it really is still an exceptional example for its cleanliness and brightness and lack of other detracting faults. Not a conventional biography, this book attempts to offer an explanation of Sylvia Plath's death in 1963. The author looks back on Plath's life in an attempt to offer an objective account of why she killed herself. A fresh investigative approach to the circumstances surrounding Plath's suicide. It discusses her life with her husband Ted Hughes, who though they were separated atthe tie of her suicide, was still married to her and inherited her estate and therefore had control of all her copyright works. Royalties from these were put into trust for their two children,Frieda and Nicholas. Another addition to the biographical studies of American poet Sylvia Plath, who killed herself after repeated suicide attempts, the first with an overdose and lastly by carbon monoxide poisoning, aged thirty. And ever since, she has been the subject of intense speculation by literary critics and ardent, radical feminists.
