Death Valley lies in the mountains between CA and NV and is known more for a prospector who lived there, Walter Scott-Death Valley Scotty- that anything else. Scott was a hoax artist of the first who claimed to have mines in the desert extracting millions but all he was doing was extracting from investors in his flim-flam. He got is last investor to build a large hacienda on the ground which exists to this day under National Park ownership. Laid in is a brochure from 1969 on a self-guided tour "Badlwater" which goes through Death Valley's most fascinating landscape. A clean very presentable copy.
