Original Illustrated paper-covered boards with black lettering on covers and spine, in original dustjacket with same motif and lettering, protected by modern mylar. Color drawing on cover and dustjacket designed for this publication by Matisse.
This volume contains a large sampling of Cartier-Bresson's best b/w photographs. Includes a text by the photographer about his philosophy of photography and art as well as a section on the technical aspects of photography.
