Des Moines: Emory H. English, 1908. Hardcover. Small 4to.Half brown calf with gilt spine lettering and tan cloth. 301pp. Frontispiece, numerous full-page plates, 4 maps (3 foldouts). Very good. Mildest of binding wear only, else tight and internally near fine. Handsome first edition of this compilation of dedicatory addresses and speeches by political and military notables given at the unveiling of statues honoring the state and its regiments at Civil War battle sites.
