About This Item
London: George Allen & Unwin, 1953. Hardback. Fine/Very Good. George Allen & Unwin, London, 1953 reprint. Pocket edition. Book condition: near fine. Ivory coloured boards are astonishingly bright and clean. Dust jacket condition: very good. Unclipped. Small closed tear (approx 3mm) at tail of spine and very slight discolouration to spine. Completed just before his death in 1909, the lovely story of Deirdre is, together with The Playboy of the western World, Synge's greatest achievement. It was first produced in 1910 and this is the eleventh impression of the printed version.
