The title and a tree illustration are in green on the front cover; the title in green on the spine is a bit faded. The binding is solid. The interior of this book is in very good plus condition. The pages are clean and bright, there is no writing, markings, or foxing detected. The book includes 39 black/white photographs of tree trunks to show bark characteristics of different species. The species descriptions include characteristics of leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, wood, distribution, and habitat. Each species description includes numerous drawings to aid in identification. A nice copy of a book that would be a helpful resource in learning about trees in Delaware or the surrounding eastern region of the U.S.
