An outstanding copy of this blistering satire of Washington politics during the Gilded Age. 12mo. 17 by 12 cm. 374, [12] pp. Condition: the book itself has foxing on cover, mostly affecting front cover. Spine darkened from soiling. Cloth worn in corners and spine extremities. Pages within clean, if moderately age toned. Lower corner of FFEP, which has publisher's catalogue ad, is cut out, with some loss of content. This cut out loss is about two inches by 1.25 inches at greatest length and height, with loss affecting two listed books. The modern clamshell box is in fine condition, with no issues.
