Gift inscription opposite half title. In publishers dust jacket, $3.00 retail price on front flap, bright illustrations, closed tear at rear fold, otherwise a near fine jacket. Signed by Dean Acheson, noting "Washington, November 1955" after signature. Dean Acheson served as Secretary of State for President Harry Truman. He was instrumental in defining foreign policy for the United States during the cold war.
