Full red morocco leather, expertly rebacked spine, gilt titles and ruling, inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, (11.25 x 9 x 2.25 inches). DOUBLE FORE-EDGE PAINTING of Tower of London and Greenwich. Containing selected speeches of Demosthenes and Aeschenes in Greek and Latin, translated by Hieronymus Wolf. Amorial bookplate of William Stewart Rose. Pencil notation "James C. Howgate, Bookseller" on front fly. Showing some wear to exterior, bumped corners, internally clean and bright. Hand-painted double fore-edge watercolors are dull, indicative of being older and contemporary with book (18th century) and not modern.. Leather. Very Good. Illus. by Double Fore-Edge Painting.
