George Newnes, 1899. Hardcover. Good. 1899. 11th edition. 189 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt titles and decoration to front and spine. Pages have deckled edges. Illustrated by Dudley Cleaver. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and pastedown. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Tissue guard loose. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Boards are slightly bowed. Gilt is bright.
