He was living at Guilford, Connecticut, by 1642. He married Mary Bishop (1652-after 1687), daughter of John and Susanna Goldham Bishop, at Guilford. They had five children, 1671-1677. He died at Guilford or Madison, Connecticut. Descendants spelled their surname, Hodgkin, Hochkin, Hotchkin, and other spellings. They lived in Connecticut, New York, Michigan, and elsewhere.
