About This Item

Paris: Editions Stock, 1997. 159p., profuse mixed illustrations in b&w, sepia and color photography, period & contemporary, from nature & posed, old engraved views, and a map. Glazed alkaline paperstock, a high-quality production obviously a labor of love. Hardbound in openweave green cloth boards gilt and dust jacket, 13x10 inches. The casebound book looks to be in perfect condition (sound, clean, unmarked, unhandled) and the dj very nearly so (sound, clean, undamaged, just a little handled). A wooded retreat for lovers of solitude and ruins, several hundred years of atmospherics that caters nowadays to bohemians, then to Masonical types who wished to be reminded how transitory things are.
