Shelf wear, minor spotting to page edges, contents clean, dust jacket nibbled with a couple of minor splits now repaired with archival quality tape. Covers nice and bright. "Between 1947 and 1949, the author became friendly with the Ihalmiut, the forty-nine survivors of a tribe which once numbered thousands. He learned their way of life, their spiritual and physical dependence on the caribou, their pleasures and their many fears. Out of his love and respect for them came a vibrant book."
