The interior has browning on the end pages and inside boards. The DJ shows the $2.75 price and has chips, tears and minor missing fragments that affect only the title at the top of the spine. The DJ was split at the spine and it appears the DJ has been trimmed. Review copy with publisher's photocopied letter laid in. Very Good with toning to edges and bumping at corners and spine ends. Pages toned. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with the spine toned and bumped at the edges, rubbing and light creasing to the top edge of the front panel.

Copy number 3 of 5 [from an edition of 500] of Bukowski's private "Author's Edition," with a typescript signed by Bukowski stapled in at the center. According to Aaron Krumhansl, "As late as the early 1970s Bukowski still retained multiple copies of this title. At some point he created a small private 'Author's Edition' by tipping in or binding in at the center staple either an original signed illustration or a signed typescript poem. Not less than three nor more than five such copies were created." This copy in particular is mentioned by Krumhansl as the Polak copy. 23 pp. Stapled tan wraps. Near Fine, faint waves to wraps. Bukowksi's only self-published chapbook, comprised of "overlooked (or looked-over and shunned)" poems.

Black Nigerian goatskin lettered in gilt, housed in black cloth clamshell case with gilt lettered black leather spine label. Includes 13pp. staplebound Limited Editions Club Letter. A bit of waviness to a few pages in middle of book, else Fine, housed in Very Good slipcase with worn spot to back edge of spine, a bit of pilling to cloth. Letter has small light crease to bottom corners, else near fine. 17 original lithographs by De Kooning, reproduced from charcoal drawings, illustrating the New York School poet's ode to the Dutch-American abstract expressionist painter.

Lucy Gayheart is a study of the effect that Lucy has on others told in retrospect her own point of view. The story opens twenty-five years after Lucy's death, when her memory is still fondly cherished by the residents of her small hometown: "In Haverford on the Platte the townspeople still talk of Lucy Gayheart. Most of the novel takes place during the year before Lucy's death, when she is in her early twenties and is just beginning to understand herself and to make choices about her future.

Adelaide: Corkwood Press 1999-2003 Special Editions 6 vols 8vo, 1999 Very Fine leather-bound matching set of all six of Len Beadell's often humorous autobiographical writings detailing his pioneering road-building projects throughout the Central Australian deserts on behalf of the Woomera Rocket Range. Each volume is beautifully bound in kangaroo leather, with gilt titles, gilt maps to covers, map end-papers, and illustrated with b&w and colour photographs and Len's original line drawings. A special limited edition of 50 copies of each volume, each volume offered here being no.41 of the series. Blast the Bush is autographed by Len's widow Anne Beadell, and his children, Connie Sue Beadell and Gary Beadell, after whom two of the great outback highways are named. Too Long in the Bush is also signed & inscribed by Anne Beadell, and Bush Bashers is signed and inscribed by Connie Sue Beadell. A magnificent set that does justice to Len Beadell's writings, and looks great on the shelf.

Original dark green cloth blocked with elaborate blind decoration, spines lettered in gilt, floral patterned endpapers. Cloth very slightly rubbed at extremities and a few thin white streaks to the front board of volume one and some light foxing to the decorative endpapers, otherwise clean, tight and bright throughout. Overall a better than very good set. Alexander Pollock Watt (1838–1914) was the first successful British literary agent. His agency, started in 1875, is still active today and is, in fact, the longest-established literary agency in the world. He acted as Besant's agent, and also his literary executor.

The Modern Press. 1886. First separate issue, larger untrimmed variant, inscribed by the author. Originally printed in the April 1885-March 1886 issues of "To-Day", this first edition was printed from the corrected and revised stereos of the original setting for the journal. This is the larger, variant issue, with the preliminary blank leaf bound at the beginning. Shaw explains the variant this way: "The size of the bigger copies is due to the fact that they reproduced not only the type but the format of To-day. But the booksellers objected that in this form it occupied too much room to be displayed on their stalls and counters. It was probably cut down as far as the margins would allow to meet this objection" (Laurence).
