Goodcondition; cover shows rubbing and soiling, trace of moisture along upper edge of the wrappers, replaced spine, repaired upper edge and bottom right corner of the front cover, minor outer corner pieces of the back cover are missing; internally trace of moisture along upper edge of two first and the last leaves, few occasional foxing spots throughout the book.
To mark its tenth anniversary, the Leningrad Military Engineering School produced a special edition book published by "Typography named after Volodarsky", which was taken patronage over the School. Book is devided into seven sections. The first section describes historical stages in the work of the School during the 10-year period of its activity 1918 – 1928, educational-methoducal programs used for training the command staff of the Red Army, much attention is paid to the sports training of students and teaching staff. The second section deals with war history of the School – battles in Borisoglebsk in 1918, facts about combat operations of the military liaison team and sappers near the Verro town (now Estonian town Võru) in 1919, military operations on the Olonets front-line in 1919, campaign of the sapper company of cadets and the liaison team against Yudenich, Wrangel, Makhno, combat operations on the Petrograd and Southern fronts. The third section considers party and political work, also cultural education activities for the cadets and activity of the military-scientific organization - Osoaviakhim unit in the School. The fourth section is devoted to sanitary and economic issues i.e. escort of cadets by health squad on the front-lines, the fight against epidemic diseases. Next two sections occupy wellcome messages for the incoming cadets from graduates and teachers of the School, stories about school life from present students. The last section titled "Chronicle" reproduces several important school documents and regulations, also provides a list of award receipts, list of killed and wounded on front-lines, list of graduates holding the highest command positions., also includes calendar of School events during a decade of existance. Text is supplemented with tables and photographs.
