About This Item
London: William Heinemann, 1929. 1st U.K. edition same year as U.S. . Blue Cloth. Good-VG/No Jacket. 17 Cms x 24.5 Cms. f/piece+xxii+405+ Harpers pub. colophon, text ills. throughout, 15 further plates ex-pagination; slight edge-tanning throughout (probably common to all copies by now), otherwise internally excellent being clean, tight & unmarked with good end-gutters; covers clean and bright but slight rubbing to corners, spine ends & some edges reduces rating from unqualified VG. Fairly uncommon in UK, a nice copy of this deservedly highly successful popular history of medicine which covers virtually all topics from venereal disease tom vaccination.
