1st ed/1st prntg. 18s (I assume, shillings) on fly leaf. Publisher designates 1st by not signifying printing #. Orange cloth over boards with gilt print in panel on spine; paper is cracked between fronticepiece and title page, but binding cloth is solid; 375 pages; illustrated; no external or internal marks; corners are square; spine ends are very gently bumped; text block is extremely clean; dust jacket displays moderate wear at top edge, including some small tears;- now protected in archival brodart wrapper. A small bubble in the cloth of the front board is evident at the bottom; else a very clean book.
