The Rockwell Kent-designed emblem on the title page. Charles Boni started this attractively designed series of modern works in paperback in 1929; in 1930, after 16 titles had been issued, the subscription requirement was dropped and the series was renamed Bonibooks, published by Albert and Charles Boni. This title was the 4th title in the original Charles Boni Paper Books series. Subscription information is on the final unpaginated page. The critically acclaimed first novel by Anglo-Irish writer Leonard Alfred George Strong (1896-1958). In Very Good- Condition: spine and edges are sunned; upper corner of front cover lightly creased; loss at fore-edge of back cover; light creasing of some upper page corners; pages are clean and tight.
