About This Item

London: Martin Secker, 1930. 1st ed. . Brown Cloth. VG/No Jacket. 12.5 Cm x 19 .5 Cm. 44 pp. (inc.prelims), top edge gilt small faint stamp 'Tamar Hotel Calstock Cornwall' top outer corner of pastedown, tiny black spot to same offset on endpaper, quite trivial, otherwise flawless in covers marred only by the faintest suggestion of spine region fading. A warm heartfelt tribute to Lawrence, who had died earlier in 1930, triggered by the poor, even hostile, tone of the main press obituaries which totally misrepresented him; a cross between an obituary, a mini-character study and and a eulogy. Very nice copy.
