London: Arrowsmith, 1892. First edition, first printing. published by J.W. Arrowsmith in Bristol, 1892. This is a very good (or better) copy. Published as Arrowsmith's 3/6 Series. Vol. XI. Original publisher's orange-brown smooth cloth, cover titled in blue and black, spine titled in gilt. There are some handling marks and blemishes on the cloth. There is a previous owners inscription, 'Greenwood', to the title page in blue ink. There has been a slight, but neat, repair to the spine. The text blocks are toned but free from foxing. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy of a rare work. An English comic novel written by the Grossmith brothers, with illustrations by Weedon. It originated as an intermittent serial in Punch magazine in 1888–89 and first appeared in book form, with extended text and added illustrations, in 1892.

The Diary of a Nobody, an English comic novel written by George Grossmith and his brother Weedon Grossmith with illustrations by Weedon, first appeared in the magazine Punch in 1888 – 89, and was printed in book form in 1892. It is considered a classic work of humour. The diary is that of Mr. Charles Pooter, a city clerk of lower middle-class status but significant social aspirations, living in Upper Holloway.
