New York: Atheneum, 1982. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. First printing, no Newbery Medal on dust jacket, octavo size, 204 pp. "Dicey's Song" is the second book in the Tillerman Cycle, a series of books by Cynthia Voigt (b. 1942), and it immediately picks up where the previous book, "Homecoming" leaves off; the four Tillerman children, of which Dicey is the oldest, have made the long trek to their grandmother's farm in Maryland, after being abandoned by their mother on a road trip. They must now adjust to life with their grandmother in a new town; the book examines themes of family and belonging, and challenges societal norms in the characters that populate the book.

This volume is the first edition, first printing of Voigt's book, and it received the Newbery Award in 1983; the dust jacket does not feature the Newbery Medal, as it was awarded the year after the book was published.
