About This Item
Unclipped DJ shows moderate wear / some small tears along the edges. The book shows minimal shelfwear and a few very faint spots of foxing to the fore edge. Light foxing to the endpapers and pastedowns as well. Pages appear clean with no previous owner's name or marginalia. Very Good condition.
Stated first edition. Rare in dust jacket. Richard Bong is widely recognized as one of the most talented fighter pilots to have ever lived, and is personally responsible for shooting down at least 40 Japanese planes during WWII. An unfortunate fuel pump malfunction would take his life in August, 1945.
