Heavy, and extra postage may be requested to destinations outside Australia. 525 pp. This dictionary by Edward E. Morris was first published in 1898 and has been out of print for many years. It remains the only dictionary of Australian and New Zealand English compiled on historical principles. The dictionary is a very readable book and will interest anyone working with language, and it is a useful general reference dictionary of Australasian English. There is a specially contributed foreword by H. L. Rogers, Professor of Early English Literature and Language and Chairman of the Australian Language Research Centre, University of Sydney.
