London: George Virtue . xvi + 626 pages, leather spine missing, front board detached. A to H plus sketch of the life of the author. Undated but given in 1846 (?) as a prize (for excelling in Latin) to a James Henderson at George Heriot's Hospital, a historic private charitable school in Edinburgh for children bereaved of a parent. Today it is fee-paying and Scotland's highest-performing school, but 5% of its pupils are still orphaned children of limited financial means. Heriot's gilt crest to front and back boards, which are scraped round edges. Later gifted to Rev C Digby Seymour.. Leather. Average Minus.
