Also, on the side paper edge there is some very minor ruffling to very edge of paper on some of the pages. German translation is at front of book and Persian text at back, dos-a-dos. Originally issued in paperback but is now bound in gray library buckram cloth with black lettering on spine. Original wrappers bound into the hardcover. Binding and text are both very good. Notes: Introduction and German translation of the text are based on the author's thesis, Mainz, 1962. ʻAbbās I, Shah of Iran, lived from 1571-1629.
