About This Item

Ancient world 623(Gudea, of Lagash, 2144-2124 BC) (Falkenstein, Adam). Die Inschriften Gudeas von Lagaš. Volume I - Einleitung. Edited by A. Falkenstein. (Analecta orientalia 30). Roma: Pontificium Institutum Biblicum, 1966, xviii, 188p, bib. Plasticized paperbound. Blind stamp of collector on title page. Larger volume in good condition, some shelf wear. The title may suggest that there was a Volume II, which I don't think was ever printed as Falkenstein died in 1966. $45.00

Gudea (Sumerian: Gu3-de2-a) was a ruler (ensi) of the state of Lagash in Southern Mesopotamia who ruled c. 2144–2124 BC.
