Buchandel und Druckerei, 1910. Text in German on the Folklore of the "Cape -Dutch" people. Mostly focused on the Boers. With chapters on their clothing, economy, literature, faith, building, folk medicine and customs customs. Also chapters on the native inhabitants, their folklore and Magic, and the non-Dutch settlers, the German, French and English. Published as a supplement to volume XIX of the Internationales Archiv fur Ethnographie. Bound in limp boards with original wraps pasted to the feps. This copy inscribed by Grethe Hutt and her mother Dr Schonkrt. Not the author but presumably a relative. Condition:Very good, some wear to the binding and toning to the pages.
