A poetic story for children about a boy who undertakes the challenge of digging through the Earth to find a foreign land. Color illustrations by William Pene du Bois. First edition (first printing). Very slight lean to spine and minor wear to the corners thus near fine in a near fine dust jacket with a chip missing from the front bottom corner. Library binding with cloth reinforcing at gutters, and Library Edition sticker on jacket.
