Published green blind stamped and gilt clo 48, (8) pages. First edition. A speech "delivered before the New York Historical Society, at the Academy of Music, New York, on the 3rd of April, 1860." Washington Irving had died in t fall of 1859 and Bryant's speech was delivered on Irving's birthday as a trib to the famous American writer. With eight pages of Washington Irving's books for sale in back. Very good.
