John Hogg & Co., London, 1875. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 336 pages (complete). A genial copy. The green boards have wear all about from shelving and storage. Pressed gilt decoration (a little worn). The boards have scuffing, marks, rubbing. They are steady and sure. The contents are benign. The half-title page has a pencilled annotation marking its ownership at the Grand Lodge in Cape Town. The early and later pages have blotches of foxing. The subsequent pages have occasional smears, smudges of foxing here and there, but the text of the book remains unaffected. The contents are comfortable, certain, confident, clean and clear, convivial. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
