Spine replaced on volume 1; presentation inscription by Mrs. Elizabeth Jaaffe. Provenance; bookplate of Alma College, Calif. Slight suggestion only of dust-dulling to the spine bands and panel edges. Remains a particularly well-preserved set overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. Contains notes and illustrative matter, in double columns.
