Brown cloth cover worn with rubbing, notably near corners near spine, corner bumps and some light splotches. Spine ends frayed. Name, date and minor notes to front blank pages. Blue endpapers unmarked, with some wrinkling at a crack/split at hinge of front endpapers. Text unmarked and pages intact with some edge wear and aging. Gilt title and decorations intact on cover and spine. Plum Adirondack Bibliography number 7244. Please see image. 176 pages. Note that this edition has 176 pages, fewer than the later 1882 and other Houghton, Mifflin editions, which added two chapters and which have 226 pages.
