Leighton, PA: Leighton High School. 1932. Hardcover. Very Good with no dust jacket; Two Yearbooks From Leighton High School, Leighton, Pennsylvania, 1931 and 1932. Franz Kilne was a student there and was Artist for the Yearbook in his Junioi Year. Most of the cartoons and decorations were done by him. His Signature appears in both books. Franz Kline was part of abstract expressionist movement in New York City in the 1940's and 50's. Both Books are in good condition. The 1931 Yearbook has a weak and loose spine. The 1932 Yearbook has a weak spine. Both have some edgewear. ; B&W Illustrations .

Best edition, substantially enlarged over the first edition of 1850-51; 7 volumes, 8vo, 2 folding frontispiece maps, later full polished tan calf, red and black morocco labels on gilt decorated spines, marbled endpapers and edges; slightest rubbing of the extremities; generally fine and handsome.

Birmingham: John Baskerville for J. & R. Tonson, 1761. 3 volumes, 8vo, portrait frontispiece, 5 engraved plates; contemporary polished calf, red and green leather labels on gilt-decorated spines, marbled endpapers; spine toned, else a near fine copy in a fine set of red morocco slipcases. Gaskell 16.

1840. A 10 1/2" x 8 1/4" pressed board box with applied lithograph on the front cover depicting two young women musing while standing arm in arm in a rose garden. The surprise within the box is 20 trinket boxes each 2 5/8" x 1 1/2". Each pressed board box is covered with embossed gilt paper with an applied litho on the top of predominantly a woman or women posed in outdoor scenes. Two of the boxes depicting courting couples. One is in the style of the Marie Taglioni fairy. Each box designed with the sole purpose of retaining ones tiny keepsakes and treasures. A joy to be received by any young woman. One box with-3 corner repair. Light warping from storage in dry environment.

Glendale, California: The Arthur H. Clark Company, 1961. One of 209 copies of the rare true first edition privately printed for members of the Lee family in 1961. None were ever sold. The rarest of the Juanita Brooks' books. The trade edition was not issued until the following year. Very good plus to near fine in full blue cloth with blue top-edge stain. 404 pages with frontispiece portrait of John Doyle Lee. Illustrated with maps, plates, and portraits. This true first printing omits the last three paragraphs on page 376 regarding Lee's reinstatement to membership in the Mormon Church. Clean and tight with crisp text. No name, bookplate or other markings. One of the most desirable books on Mountain Meadows and John D. Lee. . Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No jacket as issued..

Colorado Springs, Colorado: Byron H. Gurnsey, 1875. Original stereoview: albumen prints mounted on printed card stock. A rare and highly sought-after western stereoview showing a group of Ute males in front of the photographer's studio on Pike's Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs circa 1875. Most of the men are holding weapons; one of them has both a Maynard Carbine (the first one with a folding sight) and a Colt Model 1860 army revolver. This stereoview is from the collection of Robert N. Dennis, who was one of the most important stereoview collectors in the U. S. The New York Public Library's "Robert N. Dennis Collection" includes more than 70,000 stereoviews from his collection, many of which can be viewed on the library's website. The albumen prints are clean and bright, with very good contrast. NY: Outing Publishing Co. . VG. 1908. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First edition with "MCMVIII" on the title page and "1908" on the copyr ight page. Bound in green, blue and white cloth with gold lettering. A uthor's signature has been tipped onto the front fly. The subject of t he book, C.J. Jones, has also signed the copy below Grey's tipped-in s ignature. The front endpaper has "Signed by 'The Last Plainsmen'" penc illed at the upper left corner. Under Zane Grey's signature is written "One of America's greatest Authors" in blue ink. Illustrated with bla ck & white photos by Grey. 8vo (8 1/2" x 5 1/2") size, 314pp. A Very G ood copy. The cloth covers are mildly faded and dull and show some rub bing to the edges. Small frays to the spine tips. Moderate soiling to spine and covers. Light foxing to the upper edges of a few pages and a few other pages have been roughly opened else content is clean, unmar ked and reasonably tight. .

London: John Boydell, 1781. Two volumes rebound as one in 2 of the original gilt-tooled leather-covered boards with new leather spine upon which the 2 original leather spines have been laid down--makes for an interesting and attractive "original" binding. There are 150 copperplate engraved plates after the drawings by Paul Sandby and accompanying text. We have been able to locate only two other copies for sale at this time, and one is the 1783 reprint.  Very good condition: clean and tight, with some edgewear and rubbing of leather; pages are clean and bright watermarked laid paper with slight toning at the edges.  There is no staining on the plates--not in the images, not in the margins. New York: New Directions, 1946. 1946-1958. First printings of the first editions of all five books in the long poem to which Williams devoted so much of his later life. Each of Books I-IV were editions limited to 1,000 copies; Book V was limited to 3,000 copies. Seldom found as a complete set! The books are clean and tight, with light dusting of the top edges and some foxing along the top edge of the cloth only on Book Five. Two volumes have a previous owner's name written very neatly on a front endpaper, and one has a bookplate on the front endpaper. Pages are lightly toned (especially Book One) and more so on the endpapers. Pages edges are toned. The dust jackets for Books 1-4 are clean and attractive with some light tanning, mostly along the spines. The jacket for Book Five presents well but has moderate foxing, a couple of tiny chips, and one 1 1/4" closed tear at the bottom of the rear panel.
