Leipzig: Karl Baedeker, 1907. Cloth. Good. 6.5" by 4.5". Not Stated. The third edition of Baedeker's guide to Canada, with folding maps and plans. The third edition, revised and augmented. Baedeker guides were standard guidebooks published for tourists in the nineteenth century. Printed by the publishing house started by Karl Baedeker, they were an important milestone in the tourist industry, and were published from the 1850s until the 1970s.With a gift inscription to the half title, 'Clara Hilliam from Percy and Jeeve, 29.10.12'.With thirteen maps and ten plans. The frontispiece map is loose but present. Lacking two plans: of Toronto (p.190) and Winnipeg (p.245). In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine is a little worn to the head and tail. Gift inscription to the half title page. Internally, generally firmly bound with the occasional strain. Pages are bright and clean. Good
