Name in pencil on front endpaper, cover corners scraped, brown spots on top page edges, rubbed jacket edges and flap folds tattered with a 2" tear on top back and flap folds have been repaired on inside with paper tape. One in a series of books for boys about Don Winslow of the U.S. Naval Intelligence Service in a fight against Scorpion, chief of an international spy ring. This title was developed into a cliffhanging film serial directed by Ford Beebe and Ray Taylor, starring Don Terry. [Mattson & Davis; 23600] B&w frontispiece by F. Warren. (7-5/8"x5-3/8")
