One of the finest examples of humanist photojournalism by a committed and passionate observer who, in the end, saw too much and got too close. Excerpts from the address Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote for the occasion of his acceptance of the Nobel Prize are interspersed with quotes from the photographer. Photographs by Donald McCullin. SIGNED BY MCCULLIN on the title page; no inscription. 168 pages; duo-toned b&w plates throughout [approx. 130]; 12.25 x 11.25 inches.
