Plain text dustwrapper with white background and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The Queens Investigator is a state secret; his job? To protect the realm. In this book he sets out to save the world from 'Doomsday' -- a monster cobalt atom bomb. A 1960s book in the vein of James Bond. Softening to the backstrip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Faint browning of the textblock edges and pages. Previous owners name to the top edge of the free front end paper. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy sunning to the dustwrapper with a few handling marks.
