The book chronicles Huxley's psychedelic experiences while under the influence of mescalin in May, 1953. He recalls his experiences ranging from "purely aesthetic" to "sacramental vision." "The Doors of Perception" provoked strong reactions for its evaluation of psychedelic drugs as facilitators of mystical insight with great potential benefits for science, art, and religion.

Condition:
Clean covers and spine with no stains. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Clean pages with no writing, foxing or tears and only a small stain on the outer margins of pages 69 and 79. The dust jacket is un-clipped with the original $1.50 price on the front flap; light soiling to the covers with some small tears along the perimeter. Overall the book is in very good condition.
